With the Z8 Select, Mahindra aims to provide a more affordable option while retaining many of the Scorpio N’s key features and safety offerings.

Mahindra has introduced a new variant called Z8 Select to its Scorpio N line-up, priced between Rs 16.99 lakh to 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

This new trim sits below the standard Z8 but above the Z6 variant. Let’s delve into what the Z8 Select offers, hitting Mahindra dealerships starting March 1.

Compared to its counterparts, the Z8 Select variant comes at a lower price point, with savings ranging from Rs 1.11 lakh to Rs 1.65 lakh depending on the chosen powertrain. However, it’s slightly pricier than the Z6, by about Rs 69,000 to Rs 1.38 lakh. Buyers can opt for either the 203 bhp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine or the 175 bhp, 2.2-litre diesel engine, each paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Notably, the Z8 Select does not offer a 4WD option.

Mahindra Scorpio N Z8 Select: Features

The Z8 Select variant introduces a sleek ‘Midnight Black’ exterior finish, setting it apart visually. While it shares many features with the Z8 variant, some amenities like push-button start, tyre pressure monitor, dual-zone climate control, power folding wing mirrors, and automatic headlights and wipers are excluded.

However, buyers can still enjoy notable features such as 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED lighting, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7.0-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a sunroof, rear disc brakes, and six airbags. Additionally, safety features like ESC (Electronic Stability Control) are also included in this variant.

The Z8 Select variant promises a blend of style, performance, and affordability, making it an attractive pick for Scorpio enthusiasts.
