Spinny, a platform for pre-owned cars, has reported a significant 31 percent growth in the fourth quarter of FY24, signaling a surge in women buyers. As per the company’s latest report, 46 percent of women nationwide opted for used cars in March 2024, compared to 35 percent in the previous quarter, indicating the popularity of pre-used cars among women.

Furthermore, the data indicates that Delhi-NCR witnessed the highest increase in women buyers at 48 percent, closely followed by Mumbai at 46 percent.Next up were Bangalore and Pune at 41 percent and 39 percent, respectively.
Even in non-metro cities like Lucknow and Jaipur, there was a notable 20 percent growth in women buyers for the month of March.

Among the popular brands favored by women buyers on the Spinny platform are Renault Kwid, Grand-i10, and Baleno, particularly among women aged 30 to 40 years.
Niraj Singh, CEO and Founder of Spinny, lauded the company’s ‘Lady Luck’ promotion offered during the month of March as the reason behind this growth. As part of this offer, the company offered discounts of up to Rs 25,000 on car purchases. The data analysis further reveals a range of factors driving this trend, including financial prudence, environmental consciousness, and a desire for greater autonomy.
