Paras recounted how everything changed in 2021 when he received a call while shooting for a Holi sequence.

While the festival of colours brought joy to many across the country, it wasn’t all fond memories for everyone. Paras Kalnawat revealed that he stopped celebrating Holi in 2021 due to a negative experience. Despite the excitement surrounding the festival this year, Paras shared why he now dislikes Holi.

Paras Kalnawat took to his Instagram Stories to share an old picture of his father, expressing his sentiments towards the festival of Holi since his father’s passing. He revealed, “Holi was one of my favorite festivals. As a kid, I used to eagerly await its arrival every year.” However, he recounted how everything changed in 2021 when he received a call while shooting for a Holi sequence covered in colours. Immediately rushing home, he explained, “Since then, I kind of hate playing with colors. That festival of colors turned my life colorless.”

Reportedly, back in 2021, while filming the Holi sequence for the daily soap Anupamaa, Paras received a phone call from his mother. According to reports, Paras’ father fell in the lift and was transported to the hospital. As soon as he received the call, he hurried to the hospital. Along with Paras, other cast members including Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey also departed for the hospital. However, before Paras arrived at the hospital, his father had passed away. Even the shoot was stalled for some time following the emergency.

Paras Kalnawat rose to prominence after playing Samar in the popular television series Anupamaa. The actor left the daily soap in the middle and eventually was seen on the dancing reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10. Following his appearance on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10, Paras landed the role of the lead, Rajveer Luthra in another popular daily soap Kundali Bhagya. He was cast after the show made a 20-year generational shift. He was joined by Baseer Ali and Sana Sayyad after the leap.
